Paderborn Institute for Data Science and Scientific Computing (DaSCo)
The Paderborn Institute for Data Science and Scientific Computing (DaSCo) is a central research facility of Paderborn University devoted to research on all aspects of the emerging field of data science. It brings together members from computer science, mathematics, and engineering, who are jointly working on the theoretical foundations, methodological innovations, as well as the basic infrastructure required for successful data science applications. Owing to its roots in the former Paderborn Institute for Scientific Computing, DaSCo puts special emphasis on the combination of data science and scientific computing, which is often a key factor of success in engineering applications.
